Forget stiff, unimaginative family photos. Family sessions are centred around natural interactions and honest emotion. I take a relaxed approach with prompting rather than posing to encourage spontaneity and authentic moments that will showcase your family's connections. I aim to create candid, joyful imagery that thoughtfully tells your story.
As a mom of three myself, I am able to happily keep up with the high-energy and unpredictability of young children. The key to an enjoyable session is to embrace the inevitable chaos that kids bring. In my experience, the most magical images come from the unscripted moments. Portrait sessions with children are full of play with gentle direction to achieve a whimsical feel to your shoot. Sessions with more mature groups should expect the same enthusiasm and easy going experience.

How do I book?
You can book your session by reaching out on the contact page. After which I will provide you with a booking site to select your session date. You can also find our booking site under the contact tab. Can't wait to work with you!
Can I reschedule my session?
I kindly ask to allow as much time as possible to reschedule your portrait session. As a mom of three, I realize life happens! However, subsequent cancellations will result in the loss of your retainer and will require an additional retainer to book another session.
Where is the studio located?
The studio is called Village Co. and located at 3763 Main Street in Jordan/Lincoln. It's a beautiful, light-filled space in the heart of charming Jordan Village. Perfect for portrait sessions of all kinds, including family, engagement, maternity, newborn, and branding sessions.
What if it's raining on the day of my session?
Should inclement weather (rain, snow, extreme heat or cold and air quality) become a concern on the day of the session, we would reschedule without fee or penalty.
What editing is included?
Basic editing is included in all portrait sessions. This includes colour balance correction, cropping and straightening, and light/reasonable photoshop retouching (skin, clothing, background, etc.)
Can we bring our dog?
Yes, of course! I am a huge animal lover. I have four of my own at home - two cats and two dogs! Prior to your session, let me know if you plan to bring your furry friend along just so I can plan accordingly.
What is the cost of additional photos?
Each package includes a set number of digital images. Additional images are $25 or 5/$100. You can also purchase the entire collection for a special rate of $250.
Do you take posed photos?
Yes, absolutely. I love candid moments but face-on, smiling photos are a must in your collection of images too. I usually direct my subjects into a pose and let them naturally settle into what feels comfortable for them.
What if I'm awkward getting my photo taken?
You've found the right photographer! With a documentary style approach, I'm able to capture beautiful, unposed, spontaneous images. I also like to keep things light and up beat, which encourages my clients to feel relaxed during our time together.
Why can't I book a season ahead?
For the better part of my 10 years in business, I booked my calendar way in advance. I'm now in a season of life where that way of scheduling clients isn't possible. My children's school and sport schedules largely dictate my work availability at this current time.
